Søren Gjerding was Managing Director of Tripod Wind Energy and Tripod Engineering for 28 years and Chief Project Manager in Cowi's wind department for 11 years and hence, Søren Gjerding has 39 years of experience working as a consultant solely within the wind energy sector.
Søren Gjerding has been involved in more than 400 assignments covering more than 300 wind power projects all over the world and more than 20 wind turbine makes.
In February 2019, Søren Gjerding established Njord TA, who primarily provides technical assistance to investors, investing in offshore wind farms.

Key qualifications:
Søren Gjerding has been involved in all phases of wind power project from preparation, installation to operation and end of warranty.
His merits cover preparation of feasibility studies, wind studies, and appraisal reports, planning of wind measurement programs, specification of equipment and survey of wind resources, including data processing and assessment of the annual energy output. He has also carried out analyses of measuring data and micro siting, i.e. optimization of the output of wind farms.
Søren Gjerding has extensive experience as project manager responsible for technical assistance assignments covering a large range of subject specialists. He has provided technical assistance to wind farm developers on technical issues and guarantees incorporated in commercial contracts with wind turbine suppliers.
Finally, Søren Gjerding has performed more than 40 due diligences – onshore and offshore wind farms - and has throughout his career provided consultancy on financial aspects of technical problems, as well as technical and economical assessments of insurance claims.
